Transportation

Yorkton has great connections to neighbouring communities and beyond, via the Trans-Canada Yellowhead Highway 16, Highway 10 providing links to the east and west, and Highway 9 linking to the north and south.

It is served by the two national railways (CN and CP Rail), and the Yorkton Municipal Airport provides access to national and international markets.

Saskatchewan Transport Company (STC) provides inter-city transportation services within Saskatchewan and into western Manitoba. Greyhound provides east-west service with links for travel within North America.

Yorkton's local transportation is provided by regular scheduled dial-a-bus service (photo above right) and privately owned taxis. Specialty equipped transit vehicles serve the needs for individuals with disabilities. The Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours (SIGN) offers a Senior Mobility Program.
