Newcomer Centre

Yorkton is very fortunate to have a newcomer gateway centre. The Yorkton Newcomer Welcome Center is a place where newcomers are able to access information and various services for their successful settlement, adaptation and integration into the community.

It is a first stop, one stop point for information to make the newcomers’ transition into their new lives smoother and quicker.

It is hosted by Partners in Settlement and Integration, a non-profit program that provides various supports to newcomers in the East Central Saskatchewan region leading towards successful settlement and integration in the community.

The Newcomer Welcome Centre It is operated by the Yorkton Branch of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council.

The program strives to welcome and assist newcomers and foster a sense of community by working with employers, communities and government partners in order to provide  settlement services across the East Central region of Saskatchewan.

The East Central Community Settlement Committee, consisting of community service providers, employers and municipal governments, acts in an advisory role for Partners in Settlement and Integration.

The Newcomer Welcome Centre is located at 222 Smith Street East, Yorkton. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or call 306-783-2777.
